EDUK8 was founded in 2019 by Ms. Manal Masri, an educator, electrical engineer, and small business owner with over 20 years of experience in educational institutions. Manal started her career as an educational advisor at California State University, Northridge (CSUN) Intensive English Program in 1999 and has since taught countless subjects to students around the world, from Kuwait to Los Angeles. For eight years, Manal worked as a private tutor for international students with diplomatic families stationed in the US. This experience gave her insight into the struggle inherent in busy families with working parents who are unfamiliar with the education system, and she was inspired to start EDUK8, where she could offer more hands-on childcare and academic instruction based on each student’s and family’s needs. Pacific Grove, California is home to Manal and her family, who are also educators in the community.
Ms. Masri holds a Bachelor of Science from Cal State Northridge and a Master’s in Business Administration from the European University EU Business School in Geneva, Switzerland. Manal has a natural aptitude for teaching, and her expansive academic background gave her the ability to explain abstract concepts in an engaging, interesting, and thought-provoking ways.
